Doria and Hagge to Speak at 4A’s Transformation Conference

Chief Marketing Officer Julia Doria and Chief Strategy Officer Doug Hagge are in Los Angeles to speak at the 4A’s Transformation LA: The Idea Effect. Described by Forbes as a “must-attend marketing conference for leaders in 2014,” Julia and Doug will be rubbing elbows with the likes of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, multimedia mogul Ryan Seacrest and brand leaders from around the world at the four-day event. Basically, they’ll fit right in. From the 4A’s website:

Advertising changes constantly. Sometimes it’s due to popular culture and sometimes it’s a result of new technology, but mostly it changes because great ideas transform with the media, the technology and popular culture. The transformation of ideas and audience delivery march on! Be part of the conversation as we dig into what’s happening now and speculate on what will happen over the coming year. Formulate your plan to lead the charge into the future of advertising.

The two were invited to kick off the annual gathering of top industry executives and thought leaders during the pre-conference Management Practitioner’s Forum on Sunday, presenting on the agency’s momentum following its reign as Advertising Age’s 2013 Small Agency of the Year. Joining Julia and Doug on the speaker list at the Management Practitioner’s Forum on Sunday will be agency leaders from Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, The Richards Group and OgilvyOne, as well as many other key industry leaders.

The session includes “mission-critical topics and speakers who share practical solutions in a forum environment that encourages open discussion. The program for the 2014 Management Practitioners Forum celebrates and shares the work, the value of advertising, exciting case studies, operating structures, innovative business models and management talent that fuels our business.”

The 4A’s was founded in 1917 and is the national trade association representing the advertising agency business in the United States. Its membership produces approximately 80 percent of the total advertising volume placed by agencies nationwide, while the average 4A’s agency has been a member for more than 20 years. Bailey Lauerman has been a member of the 4A’s since, well, forever and our Chief Executive Officer Andy Fletcher served on the 4A’s Board of Directors from 2004 to 2010, speaking four times at conferences during his time.
