Celebrating A “Rare Breed”: Bailey Lauerman Creates Unique Identity For Omaha Startup Week

BL-Post-Image

The Startup Collaborative and Bailey Lauerman unveiled a new identity for Omaha Startup Week – a five-day event that brings together speakers, venture capitalists and local entrepreneurs to build momentum across the startup community.

The identity features an iconic unicorn, playing off the idea that entrepreneurs are a “rare breed.” The design has become a sort of badge-of-honor brought to life on event swag, collateral, signage and the event website.

The design work is part of Bailey Lauerman’s larger strategic partnership with the Startup Collaborative, a program operated in conjunction with the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, designed to “radically improve the odds of startup success.” Through the partnership Bailey Lauerman provides marketing expertise for entrepreneurs, such as programming for Startup Week and an inbound marketing unit in the Collaborative’s Fellowship program. In return, the agency has exposure and access to unique technology and talent coming out of the area’s startup community.

Bailey Lauerman developed and hosted several unique events for Omaha Startup Week’s marketing track, including a fireside chat between Moz.com CEO Sarah Bird and Bailey Lauerman CEO Greg Andersen, a session on Marketing Channel 101 for Startups, and a true “Elevator Pitch” where entrepreneurs are invited pitch their idea in a short 14-floor elevator ride up to Bailey Lauerman’s offices.

“We want there to be a thriving culture of technology, innovation and creativity here in Omaha, and partnerships like the one between us and The Startup Collaborative are an important part of fostering that,” said Andersen.
