Bailey Lauerman Adds New Talent to Los Angeles, Omaha Offices

Bailey Lauerman opened its Los Angeles office this year, and continues to capitalize on that west coast expansion with the addition of eight new hires. The agency added account management and strategy positions to its L.A. location, and grew its project management, PR, finance and strategy teams in Omaha.

The latest hires bring a wealth of experience to the agency in key areas of focus such as entertainment, CPG, retail and restaurants. While their backgrounds vary, they all have a common thread: a deep understanding of The Everything In Between – that innate knowledge of how to connect brands with customers between the coasts.

CHANTAL SAGNES

Chantal Sagnes_200w Chantal Sagnes joins Bailey Lauerman Los Angeles as group account director/managing partner. Sagnes was previously at strategy and innovation agency co:collective, where she led the new business department, acquiring clients such as ACLU, Puma, MetLife, IBM and The Weather Company. She also served as account lead for the global Infiniti account, as well as Providence St. Joseph Health and Wells Fargo Advisors domestically.

Sagnes received her MBA from Grenoble Ecole de Management, in Grenoble, France. She previously worked in talent management and film publicity at 3 Arts Entertainment and 42 West.

 

KELLY MERTESDORF

Kelly Mertesdorf_200w Kelly Mertesdorf is group strategy director at Bailey Lauerman Los Angeles. Prior to joining Bailey Lauerman, Mertesdorf developed the content division of a media-tech start-up. Before that, she was a lead planner at Deutsch, McKinney and TBWAChiatDay where she worked on a variety of brands including Samsung, Nationwide, Coca-Cola, Walmart and Taco Bell.

Mertesdorf has a M.S. from the VCU Brancenter and carries a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

STEPHANIE ROY

Stephanie Roy_200w Stephanie Roy brings nearly eight years of experience in competitive intelligence analysis and marketing research to her role as an account planner at Bailey Lauerman’s Omaha office. Roy joins the agency from global marketing research firm Mintel in Chicago, where she provided guidance on marketing strategy as director of insurance insights. At Mintel, Roy was a sought-after speaker on consumer behavior and marketing trends at events throughout North America.

Prior to her work consulting on marketing strategy, Roy began her career in the life insurance industry, working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and sales teams to inform go-to-market strategies.

 

LAUREN LEMKE

Lauren Lemke_200w Lauren Lemke comes to Bailey Lauerman from Creighton University, where she was the advancement communications manager for University Relations. In that role, she developed and managed the department’s integrated marketing and communications plan in addition to interfacing with university leadership and alumni. Previously, she served as marketing coordinator for the Heider School of Business, from which she also holds an MBA.

Lemke is an account supervisor in the Omaha office, working on Phillips 66 and UnitedHealthcare. Prior to her roles at Creighton, she worked in sales for ConAgra Foods, and brings a unique mix of sales, marketing and communications expertise to the agency.

 

MEL DOHMEN

Mel Dohmen_200w Mel Dohmen joins Bailey Lauerman’s Omaha office as a senior PR strategist. Most recently, she served as senior PR counsel for Swanson Russell, where she headed consumer PR and thought leadership initiatives and led a team of associates working across industries such as agriculture, energy, transportation and construction.

Dohmen spent all of 2016 traveling the lower 48-states in a 1960s vintage travel trailer. Her adventures and travel blog, Local Color XC, were featured on HGTV’s Tiny House Hunters, Today.com, Travel + Leisure and the Omaha World Herald.

Previously, Dohmen worked as marketing director for a collegiate apparel brand and as a marketing specialist at Neebo, the former retail arm of Nebraska Book Company. Dohmen holds an M.A. in marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and also designs kitchenware through her small business, Tabled.

 

TINA HELMS

Tina Helms_200w Tina Helms brings years of experience to her role as digital producer at Bailey Lauerman. Helms joins the BL team from Quantum Workplace and Phenomblue, where she was a senior project manager guiding UX and UI design and the development of new mobile applications and responsive websites for Travel and Transport and Northeastern University Admissions. Helms’ prior experience includes work as technical project manager at Lazarus Software Corp, where she planned, directed and assured the development of several digital projects for Marriott International.

Tina is a graduate of Southeast Community College’s Graphic Design program and multiple courses at Interface: The Web School.

 

EMILY THOMAS

Emily Thomas_200w Emily Thomas is a senior project manager at Bailey Lauerman’s Omaha office. Thomas comes to the agency from Redstone Advertising, where she worked as an account executive and digital strategist. She moved to Omaha from Minneapolis, where she worked as account manager at Carmichael Lynch on retail and restaurant clients Steak ‘n Shake and BJ’s Restaurants and Brewhouse. Prior to that, Thomas worked as an account executive at Broadhead where she focused on the animal health and wellness clients.

Thomas holds a B.S. in communications and public relations from Carroll University in Wisconsin. She currently works on Panda Express and Sun Pacific’s Cuties/Mighties brands.

 

SPENCER PEERY

Spencer Peery_200w Spencer Peery rejoins Bailey Lauerman as head of finance. Peery served as business manager at the agency for three years before leaving to serve as president and CFO of Lincoln Stars Hockey. Previously, he spent more than a decade as finance director for MRM Worldwide in Minneapolis.

Peery is a CPA with an MBA from Metropolitan State University. He manages contract review, negotiations and business operations for the agency from their headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
